Another You Tube of Interest
I'm always asked about the Kate Bush "Cloudbusting" song and video. It is fascinating and well done, featuring Kate Bush playing the young Peter Reich, and Donald Sutherland playing Wilhelm Reich. Too short for much education or documentary -- it's a music video lasting a bit over 5 minutes and no more -- but the apparatus always attracts attention. It certainly is a more fantastic looking device than anything I or anyone I know who actually does effective CORE work in the real world has ever constructed, or needed to construct, and seems pretty clear to have been made specifically for this music video to add to the fantasy element. Likewise, the scenes of clouds responding to the Kate Bush fantasy cloudbuster are time-lapsed. Sometimes one does see quite remarkable changes in cloud patterns -- I've documented those systematically via photographical analysis years back, at the University of Kansas -- but not so fast-moving as in this video.
