OBRL-News-Blog Switching to WordPress
In Mid-May 2009, without warning or discussion, the moderators at blogger.com shut down this website, OBRL-News at Blogger. We were stunned as no reason or notification was given of any sort. We searched in vain for some email address or contact person at the blogger.com website, to ask what happened. The only message was given, when trying to access the blog, that OBRL-News was shut down because it was a "Spam website". This was totally wrong, as one can tell by reviewing the articles below. We believe, however, that it was shut down due to the objections to a few of the postings by several angry Muslims, who had vented their spleen in private emails just a few days before Blogger shut us down.
I strongly complained on a Blogger discussion group, which I am informed is watched by some Blogger moderators, but never heard back anything. About a month later -- again without any notification or explanation -- the website re-appeared. We are glad about that, but this is patently irresponsible and unprofessional behavior. Consequently and subsequently, we set up a new OBRL-News Blog at wordpress.com, which was quick and simple to do, and seems to be a friendlier bunch of people anyhow.
So we encourage you to change the URL in your browser for OBRL-News, from this one at blogger.com to the new one at wordpress.com, where the postings contiinue:
